In 2024, Italian beatmaker Luzee released “Beats For Smoke,” a tribute album to Wayne Wang’s film “Smoke.” Released by Bologna-based Beat’s Tailors label, the album is available on a limited-edition red tape.
The entire project blends jazz and hip-hop sounds accompanied by soft drums to create a reflective atmosphere that evokes the film’s narrative. Even the beautiful artwork, created by Beerbo, recalls the vintage style of the film’s original poster, released in 1995.
